Ask yourself what the most important thing is that you do in your role. Who defines your standards and expectations? When is "meeting minimums" not enough? US Air splash-down in the Hudson - No only life saving, but an example of a community reacting to save lives. Many lessons here! Is EMS faster for men? We'll look at a study that indicates that women are getting delayed care once EMS is on scene. Psychoactive medications may play a role in cardiac arrest. Anti-psychotic medication, past and present, may have a role in the cause of sudden cardiac arrest. This study states that patients on these medication may be at 50% greater risk of sudden cardiac arrest. This study underscores the need to include a medication history and medication profile on all patient and understand the risk potential of patients medication! Firefighters set fires for $10.00 an hour. I don't know whats worse; the fact that these guys set fires to get work or that they're only paid $10.00/hr to do it. Comments[0] |

Now, they are facing a backlash from business. Y2K for the next generation...lets call it Y2K9. Zune mp3 players around the world stopped working last week due to a programming problem. You'd think we would have thought about that in todays computer industry. The situation makes me think about the 1999-2000 year changes and what we all thought would happen.
